Any pointers?

I am trying to get the pins out of my front sight/gas block and i cant seem to get them to budge. They are tapered pins and i am driving them out from the correct side so thats not the problem.I am about to break out a bigger hammer but before I do i was wondering if there is any trick to it. Thanks

Try a heat gun just in case someone decided to use adhesives.

Heat and use a press instead of a hammer.........
