If you want a lighter general purpose rifle, go with a RECCE(though I'd rather get the Thunder Ranch LW 14.5, DD or BCM LW 14.5 or 16") but if you want a bit more accuracy then go with the SS Recon or SPR. LaRue has some attractive offerings that are comparable to Noveske's Recon and SPR.

I have a Noveske reece no VIS, no switch block. The switch block is unusable, and I don't like VIS. You could get by with a BCM they are very high quality, but I like my Noveske. I kept it light and now it is set up for my wife. I switched to a SCAR, but I still like my other ARs too.

I like keeping my ARs standard thats why I don't care for VIS. But I can see why others might choose it.

Anyway, you can't go wrong with Noveske.
