Tools to Change AR Front Site/comp

I am wanting to change out my stock AR front site to a flattop gas block. Removing the site seems simple enoiugh, 3 pins. What tools will I need to remove and re-install the comp? It dosent have pins and isn't welded but I can't budge it? Crush Ring?

If the front sight has pins, get yourself a set of punches and a hammer. As for the comp, my guess is it's using a crush washer, it should come off with a little elbow grease. When putting it back on, might wanna get a new crush washer.

when punching the pins out make sure you go from left to right.

A proper ar upper receiver vise block will make cranking off the muzzle attachment way easier. It will also reduce the risk of you damaging something on the rifle. Then get a new crush washer for when you put it back on and measure the ends of the taper pins with calipers if you can't tell which end is the fat end. You try hammering it the wrong way through the gas block and you'll be at it for a while.

this is not necessarily gospel. i recently removed the front sight from my barrel -- it was right-to-left, which it took me a while to figure out.
