Best SCAR 17S Prices and getting it Kalifonicated

I'm looking at a SCAR 17s and like advice on where fellow CGN's are getting them at the best prices; also how everyone is dealing with fixing the stock (reversible step?), and would a standard Raddlock work with this ambi mag release set up on the SCAR?

Lastly how are you having them shipped to your FFL for legality purposes??

    Thanks ALL!

The first step is finding one, it took me about 4 months to get one. I don't think you will be getting much of a deal due to demand so expect to pay around $3K for one. When you get one you will need a special Scar mag lock and a stock pinning method (you can put a roll pin in or use a stop in the button). I would suggest looking for magazines during your wait for the Scar because those are hard to come by.

PS- A vendor had some for $2995 converted for CA sale a few days ago but it would be close to $3400 after everything.

        Search....

It took them a few months to get some back in stock.

4 months to be exact and with my experience that seems to be abut the normal wait time unless your lucky or want to pay over retail.

DD's Ranch had an ad saying they were in stock, for a good price too. Looks like they are gone now. I got lucky with mine and paid a little bit over what I should have but it was just sitting on the shelf and I had the cash in pocket. HAD to have it after playing with it.

Guys, the OP is asking about a 17 and not the 16 that is in stock at many places.

Well, I'm still interested in a 17s, Bay Area....so if anyone has solid knowledge of who can (and has already sold some as they need a supplier to do the modifications) I would love to hear it.

I fondled one recently and now I can't sleep or eat

thats a 16s, not a 17s. If I could get a 17s locally for that price Id buy it right now!

But yeah, as mentioned given that they are hard to get right now (then add in the Cali factor) you are kinda at the mercy of whatever you can find.

As I understand it, for the 17s black is easier to find. I ordered my FDE 17s from Valkyrie back in Jan, and I got lucky as I took delivery exactly 30 days after. But, prices have gone up along with civi demand...

                              Thanks for the plug

I was contacted and came to look for how my info was found.

Like I told the person who contacted me It might be a a while before they are readily availible, it is usually pretty quick when I need something that I can get it. The price is right now actually about $2700 not $2600 like I quoted the other poster a while ago. Shipping would be around $30(big box/high insurance).

Best estimate for ship date would be----AWHILE.

Not sure the guidelines for me posting this message but it is okay for me to post this here.

OH, and Bushmaster has dropped there prices too on the ACR. The compliant model would be about $1850 shipped.---Nice of them to drop the price as I have one in the store that I paid wholesale over 2000 for
