building first AR, gas block question

I got the low profile yankee hill slotted gas block. It has two allen screws to clamp it on the barrel. Is there a torque value for these? There was no paperwork in the bag.

Be sure your barrel has the locating dimples for the set screws.

I typically torque the gas block fasteners to a value based on their SAE or metric size. Check the size with a pitch guage if you have one (or take the allen head bolt to a hardware store) and check this site for torque value - http://www.portlandbolt.com/technica...que-chart.html

No barrel dimples necessary with a slotted gas block. If you don't get the gas block on straight and it doesn't allow enough gas to pass you'll know when you shoot it.
