      Looks cool but I'm skeptical. I don't really like the quality of the Ruger products I've used. They seem cheap to me.

          I just sold my Ruger Sr556 and I loved. It was great ran even cheap russian steel case ammo. Better then My LMT, and LWRC

            Only reason I sold it was b/c One it was free.. Won it from ruger for selling so many ruger firearms. Plus I had a LMT and LWRC

            now you would never catch with one of there pistols

              I'm inspired to have my first rifle build with a handguard like that I just wasn't sure if free-floating a barrel would be a lot of work or not. I'm assuming "nope".

                Easy to do and go for it!

                Mine's gone through 10+ variations and I recently came to this below and very content with how it is...as you can see, it's very close to how the SR556CLA looks like

                      I think you are thinking of the "E" or essentials model. This model is like the standard model but does not have the full rail system to save weight.

                      I want to buy one but am having trouble getting it because it is new.

                        while chrome lining may hinder accuracy (probably less than you and I notice) it certainly DOES extend the life if a barrel.
