    Small Rifle Case

I keep my long gun range bag & ammo to 1 gun bag that carries two long guns, 1 small bag for ammo & mags - compact as possible. I've done that but every once in a while I'd like to bring a little AR too & for doing that I want to find the smallest, shortest range bag to carry the AR broken into upper and lower. It would need to have two compartments, about 21" long to hold a 16" barreled upper. Any suggestions?

Why do you want to carry it broken down upper and lower? The range bag I use is the Galati. Real nice closed cell foam soft case. Protects better than most soft cases I've seen.

Just because it's easier to carry - I have to walk to my car, don't want to do two trips or fumble around. I happened to find the Galati site, their 22" discreet looks good but I'd like to find brown or FDE.

here is a semi recent thread on the topic

hopefully you find something that meets your needs
you may look into buying a pelican case without foam and putting a softcase inside the pelican

I'm thinking I would try some obscure first
Baseball bat bag or maybe even a small carryon sized rolling suitcase
Those I think would be more functional and cheaper
I would do some thinking and research before dropping $100+ on a bag

Natchez sells Eagle range bags for $49 - most other place sell them for $90-$110.

that seems to be a decent deal but the issue with Natchez is how bloody expensive the shipping is

Its got to be one of the most expensive in terms of shipping costs of the big online retailers
