my ak handguard is a little loose

i just installed my new(not really new, i bought it used) wooden handguards from the plastic ones and the upper hand guard wobbles a bit. just wondering if its normal for wooden handguard to wobble a bit back and forth? it does take a little effort to make it wobble but compared to plastic, it dont budge at all.

Does the upper handguard have that spacer spring between it and the gas tube. If it doesn't that can tighten it up a bit. But like MrPlink says, all of them are gonna have some wiggle.

Mine wobbles. As long as it's locked down and isn't falling off your fine.

It's an AK. There are so many different oem manufactures that sometimes, a part from one doesn't fit on another perfectly. Besides, like I already said, it's an AK so, it was designed to work with very loose tolerances instead of having to be "perfect". Anyway, if you feel the need, you can shim as needed to tighten it up but, it's not abnormal for there to be a bit of wobble.

Eh its an AK you dont need it

Only sissy men shoot AK's with hand guards.

But in all seriousness they have a huge tolerance.. Its probably normal wobble.

if you have a pair of sissors and a soda can then you don't have a loose handguard.

This is the answer. Or if it has the heat-shield insert, just bend it to fit snugly.
