AR Building Parts 5.56 and 6.8

So... I'm stationed in California, my friend is stationed in Arizona. I know if I visit him I can't buy guns in AZ because I'm not stationed there. I however know I have two very lonely AR15 stripped lower receivers in my gun-safe right now.

I understand the BB and locks situations not a problem I'm not going to do anything stupid with that or the 10 round mag rules, or the 30" length rules I understand all that jazz.

I however figure since AZ has gun-shows all the time I can drive out to my friends base, for a visit, then hit up a gun-show (since he doesn't have a gun and wants one and I want to help him pick out a good gun ) and buy up my 5.56 and 6.8 parts, the question is:

If you could kit-bash all the best parts into your rifle, piece by piece, what parts would you use? minus the lower receiver because I already have those, you can even include CA BB and locks since well I'll need to find good ones too.
I got DOJ on speed dial XD... and it still didn't help

I wouldnt go to a gun show to buy parts unless I knew the proper price on those parts. Gun show tables tend to be higher priced then what you can buy off the net. Your parts would depend on your goal. Are you looking for a shooter or a safe queen..a long range gun, or a CQB rifle....a rig or a bench gun?

I want the 6.8 to be a CQB SHTF rifle with night fighting capability (I will get night vision goggles). I want my 5.56 to be a mid-long range all around general shooting rifle, mostly for ranges and maybe varmint hunting.

ohcrap gun, get off my lawn gun... let me explain life and dating my daughter gun...shut that stupid dog up gun...

what you need to remember is a SHTF gun should be the gun you are most familiar with and use the most, can repair on a dime and takes a common ammo. a 6.8 rifle is not the best choice for a **** gun if you are using a 5.56 most of the time at the range. you should be using the 6.8 most of the time.
