Are all mid-length forearms the same length?

I want to put a mid-length free-float forearm on this pistol upper: Mark's Armory 7.5" Pistol Upper. I'd like something around 8-9" so that my KX3 just peeks out the end. Are each free-float mid-length the same length or do I have to check out a bunch before I find one that's the right length? (about 8-9")
Anything else I need to know or should any free-float work? I did kind of like the way the Vltor CASV-M looked...

I'm pretty sure most mid-length rails are 9" or there are specter length rails that are 10". just find one you like then google the specs for it. And dont cheapen out on the rail, trust me.

I take it you have a registered pistol lower to go with that upper since not having one means a felony/jail time/never get to own a gun again?

Having said that, and knowing you have a registered pistol lower or an 80% you finished, yes a free float mid length is 9".

Your pig would peak out roughly 1.5"

Keep in mind the overall diameter of the pig and make sure it'll fit in your free float rail.
