looking for a Kali legal pistol grip for my WASR

um.... your WASR should have come in California legal to begin with. Century should have taken care of all the 922r stuff. If your in San Diego I can sell you one for 5$ I'm pretty sure I have a US made one laying around somewhere.

The mag lock is the issue, not the grip. Do a little research first and welcome.

Some vendors in CA sell AK type rifles without pistol grips (it makes them "featureless").

True...but the OP specifically said WASR and they only sell those two ways, single and double stack(to my knowledge). I've never seen WASRs configured without the pistol grip.

That's actually the most common way I've seen them sold. Many dealers don't put a BB on them, and just leave the grip off.

Aolis110 you need to have a non-detachable magazine if you want to add a pistol grip. Or if you want to keep the detachable mag configuration then it needs to be "featureless". Munkeeboi sells finned grips. There's the monster man grip. Or just no grip at all. If you ever get confused about legal configurations, just follow the flowchart.

In that case, the custom Kydex Fin Grip from monkeeboi is the way to go. After checking the link from his post in this tread, I think I'll grab 1 or 2 myself. Good luck!!!

Depending on your grip try the kydex cover from SolarTactical. Quality CalGuns friendly gear and company. They can even make a custom wrap if need be.

Solar Tactical kydex grip straps are another option to go over your US made (922r compliant) plastic pistol grip. It's still featureless, sans bullet button, because the "conspicuous pistol grip beneath the action" is rendered obscure by the strap attachment.

I prefer the monsterman grip but you need an adapter to put it on an AK. -Ben
