Shooting Steel On Vacation, GAP Crusader

Nice shooting.

What calibers? From the trail, it looked like the GAP was shooting flatter than the Remington; GAP looked to have more recoil as well, though that could just be from being a lighter rifle.

We were shooting .308. The GAP did shoot flatter. our elevation were different, the two inches of barrel length really does make a difference in speed. His VTR has cuts on the top to help with muzzle flip. but the GAP really doesnt had a hard recoil.

Great video kahai! That GAP is super nice. I really want one now.


Also the ammo we were shooting was the 7.62x51 FGMM 175g SMKs
. I chronoed it last week at 150fps faster that the .308 FGMM I normally shoot. (2630 vs 2495fps) Just an FYI for anyone else thinking of picking it up.

dieselgeek, that's really interesting, especially considering .308 is supposed to have higher pressures. I would have figured .308 would push the bullet harder/faster but chronos don't lie.

yeah it was pretty crazy! they shot alot flatter
