    Looking for input....

After four days straight of using my A2 pistol grip I have come to the conclusion that I need something a little more ergonomically designed. I am not into the "bling bling" designs rather something simple and tough yet gentle on my dainty hands (j/k).

The ones that look promising so far are...

    Command Arms UPG16

    Ergo Suregrip

    Hogue Rubbergrips

    Tangodown

I have the A2 grips that came with all of my lower parts kits. They're ok-feeling in my hand. I also have a Hogue and a Tango Down. I do really like the Hogue. It's very comfortable. The Tango Down is also very nice, and I like the two little storage tubes that are built into the grip. I've actually never shot my rifle with an A2 grip installed, so I put it back on recently so I could give it a whirl the next time I hit the range. We'll see how it goes...

I like the look of that MIAD grip.Is it made out of the same material as the hogue grip by chance?

I have a Hogue and a standard on my two AR's. The Hogue feels really comfortable compared to the standard although it is tolerable.

The Miad has alot of cool feature, but it's not quite as comfortable (to me). If it was made with the Hogue material or something similar, I'd definitely get one.

Come out to one of the shoots and put your hands on other people's rifles to see how they feel. Like a handgun grip they are very personal. I would never buy a pistol without first wrapping my hands around it.

Yup. It is about personal preference.

I went from A1 to A2 to Hogue to Ergo ambi, overmolded to Tango Down and settled on the MIAD with the winter guard front strap and medium back strap on all my AR's.

I second Technical Ted's vote for Magpul MIAD.

I had Ergo grips, Hogues, etc. but still preferred the stock A2 grip over those.

But I enjoy the MIAD enough (texture, grip angle, width) that I'm gonna put 'em on all my ARs.

A1 and MIAD for me, tried everything else and settled on those two.

I had a hogue and the a2. The hogue hands down was more comfortable for me. It's really odd to even try and use an a2 anymore, but I think you just get used to whatever you are using.

I have the Ergo grip and am happy with it, its very comfortable.
I know you said you didint want Bling, but I found this CAA grip and is more comfortable than the Ergo grip and has interchangeable finger grooves and palm swell inserts. It's 10 bucks more than the Ergo grip.

Love my Ergo's enough to have one on my M4 here in Iraq.

The Magpul Miad is an incredible grip. It is tough and has good storage in it. The best part is it has interchangable front and rear parts, so you can customize it to your hand.

I tried most/all of the ones you listed and the Miad is my favorite hands down!
