Perfect 3 gun rifle. The JP barrels are absolutely awesome. You're gonna love the adjustable gas system once it's all dialed in.

I would've considered putting a JP clamp on front sight wayyy out on the barrel, like Kurt Miller's here:

    Nice blaster either way.

Also forgot the mention that trigger is sick! How much and where did you get it?
The liberal see's the glass as half full and tries to take more.
The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.
I'm with the people on the side just pouring water in the glass trying to get a drink!

I'm not sure he's able to do that with his barrel profile. Most clamp-on FSB are for .750 contour. JP has their own proprietary contour which is .650 under the handguards and bull-type ahead of the gas block. He could get the front of the barrel turned down to do it.

Ahhh, just checked the JP sight. You are correct. Even their clamp on is for .750. I stand corrected.

Sick set up either way. The JP barrels are awesome.

What targets does your club use?

I have found that the Shoot-n-See 6'' cirlces are close to the 100 yard reduced NRA targets and give you instant feedback. Plus, the are cheaper than shooting the real targets.

                    Good stuff!

Oh, well that is just cheating!

Sounds like a fun match. Looks like that JP will do well.

Have to hand it to John Paul at JP of making an AR with any barrel length to shoot accurate as hell!

                            Most excellent!

How much did that upper cost you?

Stan how well do the recoil reducing pieces you purchased work?
                              these couple
                              JP low mass buffer
                              low mass bolt carrier

Also do these have to be coupled with the adjustable gas block or could they be stand alone?

Nice set up. I have been thinking real hard about a JP set up in 18" much like you have. The only differences would be a scope and a space guns stock to really make it comfortable to shoot. After carrying my RRA 20" bull barrel and 500 rnds of ammo for three days while walking around for prairie dogs I am fed up with carrying a heavy rifle.
Did you get the upper with the cooling fins? I like the JP hand guard but think the Troy hand giard would be lighter, just don't know if it would fit with the cooling fins. How is that low mass carrier and buffer. I was also thinking of using the JP recoil elinimator/tank brake.
