    Finding a Marlin 1894C (357 lever action)

Hard to find this one. Anyone know who's selling it in the LA, OC, or Riverside areas?

Good luck. I don't know when Marlin is going to start making the 1894 again. If I do happen to see an 1894C (especially the SS) I'll let you know if there is a second one...

Marlin will have the 1894 back in production in a few months. Once they do and supply returns to normal the price gouging should end....until that happens good luck. I'm waiting until I can pay normal prices and then getting an 1894 Cowboy in 45 LC.....My source on this was a phone conversation with Marlin.

Yeah! That's what I wanted to hear. I guess I'll be patient and wait for the 1894css to go back into production. Do you know when "a few months" is?

FWIW: 44Mag 1894s have been showing up on Buds off and on.

They've got one in stock right now:

Description: Lever-action. Elegant short rifle. Tapped solid top receiver. Tubular magazine. Side ejection. Ambidextrous offset hammer spur. Hammer block s

Buds has an email system that will ping you when a particular gun becomes available...

Where are the new Marlin rifles being made? Hopefully still in America. I love my Marlin Cowboy in 45 Colt. Great rifles.

You may want to expand your search to include Gunbroker. That's where I finally found my 1894C, and I'm sure glad I did.

Marlin was bought by Remington a few years ago. Manufacturing will be moved to Ilion, NY (if it hasn't already).

I had wanted one for awhile, and my local gun store could never get one. I finally found one for sale on Calguns locally for a decent price. Sure you could wait for Marlin to make them again - but how many is "a few months"?

Id recommend gunbroker like deez said. You can find some pretty good deals. When i found out Marlin was bought out and moving i went and snatched up an 1894 Cowboy with the New Haven, CT stamp thinking they would move production to some foreign country. I got it for a pretty good price, $629 shipped, considering the Cowboy models go up to around $800+. At least the new Marlins are still being made in the US.
