Lower is ready

I'm kinda new here, and just wanted to show off my first lower.
After a looong 10 days, I finally got her built last weekend. Now she's just waiting to make friends with an upper!
Spikes billet lower
RRA lpk
Magpul moe grip fde
magpul acs stock fde
radlock bullet button


I have a spikes 16" midlength upper on order..gonna be about a 2 month wait though

Where is your pic located? Is it on photobucket?

yes, it's on photobucket..so are you supposed to copy the "direct link" or the "html link"? Though I tried both and neither worked

copy the "IMG Code" and just paste it here.

open calguns on one tab and then open a second tab in your browser and go to photobucket

Go to the "share" page on photobucket of your picture.
look at the 3rd tab called "get link code" at the top
highlight and right click the link under the "IMG for bulletin boards & forums" - (copy) with your mouse by right clicking the highlighted text and selecting "copy".

come back to calguns
open your post for editing

click the square "mountain & sun" icon that is in between the "Globe Internet" icon and the "quote" icon. It will place a code that looks like [img.][./img] in the post. place your cursor between the "][" symbols and hit the right mouse button again, select "paste".

this will make a entry like [img.][img.]your code from photobucket[/img.][/.img]


hit enter.

when you get more familiar, you can just type out [img.] (without the period) before your code and [/img.] (without the period) after your code

you will also know to delete one of the [img.] codes since you only need one before and one [/.img] at the end.

more than likely what is happening is you are missing a symbol or have two or the code is in the wrong place inside the link. since you have a red X, i think the link to your pic is wrong.

Nice lower man... love that Roll mark. I think you need to save up for a Mil-spec tube and Mil-spec sized Stock, but stick with what you got now and get the upper. Get the firearm running before you upgrade parts.

Dam...just saw that hammer...dude replace that hammer. It may cause issues with that notch on some BCGs.

It was put there to produce a symptom called "collar catch". If you used a M16 firing pin with a unshrouded carrier, all you could find along time ago, the collar on the M16 firing pin would catch on that notch thus stopping the function of the weapon

so make sure your BCG is a shrouded one or the rifle will jam.

Dieslepower, Thanks for putting the pics up for me.
As far as the tube and stock go, I had planned to go milspec, but when the guy at the shop handed them to me I didn't even look to see what he gave me, and didn't realize it wasn't milspec untill I got home..And since I'm over an hour from the shop I just went with it
