Bought two Saigas - Tell me if one has a threaded barrel

I just picked up two Saigas from Atlantic Firearms and the barrel crowns look completely different. The barrel on top is the one that I think has the threads, it is also the older gun.

The guns are also separated significantly by serial number, I don't have the numbers on hand ATM.

I'm hoping one of these has threads under the shroud, can anybody with experience and just from looking at the comparison pic tell me if I'm lucky?

Tough to tell. Mine had all the "markers" so I cut off the shroud........no threads.

Had Kendog4570 here thread the barrel for me. He's in the South Bay. (norCal)

Thanks for the info! Did your barrel look like either of these two before you cut the shroud off?

They both 7.62x39? Neither looks threaded to me.

Yes both 7.62.

So which barrel is better? Since they look very different, can there be a difference in accuracy or strength?
