Remmington 700 question

I have a Remington 700 Win 308 stamped on the barrel.

Then just beyond 308 is stamped pc3.

What does pc3 mean?

Is the PC3 close to the bbl/action front ring on the left side? If so, it's a date code for manufacturing. You can do a search for Remington dates of mfg and find the year and month made.

Yes the pc3 is on the bbl/action. I'll check with Remington.
