STAG AR's - upside down dust covers?

Hey gang. While shopping around for an upper I noticed in a few pictures of the STAG series, the dust covers were on upside down (would flip up when opened).

I know they make right and lefty models, but I think I saw it on both. Anyone have some insight?

Seems like it would get in the way to me.

Strange! All their left-handed models are like that.

Only on Stags left-hand models do the dust covers flip up instead of down.

If you saw a pic of right-hand model with the dust cover upside down, it was prolly a reversed photo of a lefty model.

IIRC, on the lefty models, they flip up so that they don't get in the way of the bolt-release.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Makes since. The righty I saw must have been a flipped pic of a lefty as suggested. Thanks for the info all.

I am looking at the STAG 2H upper (righty of course), the same one Mike posted below. Looks pretty sweet and are more reasonably priced than say a RRA of the same specs.

          Any thoughts on em?

Excellent upper. I have one and have had no problems with it, as do many other members. It is a great deal. Too bad ammo is so freaking expensive.

I got one of their lefty uppers right when they came on the market, and it has run like a top, never any problems. I would rank their quality right up with the top name brands, and a great value for the dollar

I bought a stripped lefty upper from Stag and built it out with what I wanted. Fits verrrry nicely on the RRA lower I stuck it on, and the finishes match well too. Good stuff, highly recommended.
