    Quick Question for a PRO

hello and Thanks for stopping by,

i just had a question for any of you calgunnes that stopped by.

I am in the market for a Ruger Mini 30 and have found a couple of them for sale. The odd thing is that it seems that there is no buyer but me. All the mini 30's have no competition from other buyers. Is there a reason why?

does the general population of gun/rifle owners dislike the Mini 30? Is ammo for the Mini30 problematic?

Just thought I might as a PRO!

Any and all feedback is greatly Appreciated.

    Thanks!

    -Steve

They're not as popular because they take rarer and expensive magazines. Parts aren't as common. Etc.

    Mini-14's probably sell 5-to-1 compared to Mini-30's.

Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.

I just paid $419 out the door on a 7.62x39 Saigai, which is like a white trash version of a mini-30 ( I know this isnt accurate, just the best approximation I can make). I'd recommend that route. Never owned a 30, but had a mini-14 and wasnt impressed with what I got for the money. If you're really set on stainless, maybe have a Saiga nickel plated? I personally wouldn't go that route but I'd sure like to see it.
Buying a safe and sane firework is like paying a hooker for a hug. I do not see the appeal in it.

+1, nothing wrong with the rifle or the parts or even the ammo. It usually comes down to the mags with this rifle. The Magazines work and are reliable but hard to find and cost a lot.
