    some interesting info

I just read in the book Black Rifle II that when the marines tested the accuracy of the M4 carbine vs. the standard M16, higher scores were acheived with the M4 carbine. It was found that the M4 carbine's better ergonomics contributed to the higher scores. I was going to build a 20" flattop upper for my sporter but after reading this I might go for a 16" FT upper and slap a dot sight on top..

I love the M4 style configuration. Lighter in weight, shorter for easier handling, plus I think the aesthetics just look cool, if that counts for anything. From what I can tell from AR15.com, the M4 and its variants is definitely the hottest config going out there today.

      ^^^^

Although the midlengths look very promising. Quite possibly the way of the future.

A agree the M4 does look a lot better and the versatility of the M4 is nicer too.
