I have this conversion and I love it. The 7.62x39 round is way more satisfying to shoot at the range then 5.56. It's bigger, heavier and cheaper, what more could you want. Even the "nice" ammo is about the same price as the "ok" ammo in 5.56. Just make sure you consistently clean the rifle after each range session and sometimes the mags can be problematic. I got ahold of the 30 rounders from Cproducts and it works perfect. Blocked off of course. And the Wolf spring helps alot.

OP, buy a new upper, that way you'll have both 5.56 and 7.62x39.
Oh, they're not as cheap as they used to be.
Option 1. Wasr - Usually hit n miss
Option 2. Saiga - You still need to spend cash to make it look like the usual AK(convert).
