Any feedback on Rock River 2 stage trigger?

Any feedback on Rock River 2 stage trigger? I am puting together my first AR and was wondering if this trigger is good enough so I will NOT want to upgrade it in a year or two.

          Yep, good stuff

Got to agree, installed one in my SPR build and it is a very nice trigger. Recommend it definitely.

If you don't want to upgrade, get the Geissele.

Is it really worth over twice the price if your not a hardcore match shooter?

Actually, the Geissele is 3.5 times the cost of the RRA ($279 vs $75 at Brownells with discount). But yes, it's a great trigger. Is it worth 3.5 times the price? I think so. Others may not. I know quite a few people with the Geissele and no one has complained about it.

I'm betting if you get the Geissele, you won't ever upgrade to a new trigger.

There is one documented failure that was posted on the National Match forums where the hammer broke on a guy's Geissele trigger. Geissele sent him a new hammer immediately.

Wow thats a heck of a discount. RRA NM seems to be $120 everywhere else.

Theres no doubt in my mind that the Geissele is a phenomenal trigger .... I just don't think I'm that great of a shooter yet to enjoy it to the fullest.

I had one in my "bench" rifle. Then I bought one of those MCormick single-stage drop-in triggers thinking it would be an upgrade. Long story short, I put the RRA back in my bench rifle and put the MCormick in the lighter rifle I shoot offhand. Both are really nice triggers, I just think the RRA has a smoother, more even pull, and a crisper break.

                            MAP VIOLATOR!!!

I have about half of my 10 lowers built up and only two don't have RRA NM triggers. One is a 9mm and can't have it and the other is a LMT and has a LMT 2 Stage Trigger. So I seem to think the RRA NM 2 Stage trigger is pretty important in my life.

I don't see how anyone can own a rifle and not want the best. What do you mean you aren't good enough for a nicer trigger? What kind of attitude is that. All men and women should strive to be good enough for that trigger and getting it now would not be a waste. However, if you can just settle for the RRA NM 2 Stage and would rather spend that extra money on ammo or something else, there is nothing wrong with that. However, you still shouldn't sell yourself short.

I run a Jewell on my "PSG-AR," and I'm going to try out the RRA, as I have 2 of their -SUPREME- uppers (meaning I believe in their quality). They WILL have alot to live up to, but they are 1/2 the price of the Jewell- and if they are even 1/2 as good as the J.T., then I'll be perfectly satisfied. They have a great rep.
