    Armalite mags

I know the Bushmaster 10 round mags are good and have a few already, but what about the Armalite mags? Can they be disassembled? That would be nice.

If anyone out there has any, can you please post a pic?

I think the Armalite is a 9 rd mag were as the BM is 10. I don't like the look of the Armalite either with the big black block at the bottom. I bought a few BM mags and really like them. They are cheap enough that if you do need to take them apart for a fix, you can just buy a new one.

hopefully, they aren't the 9 round mags. but according to armalite's website, they're the 10 round mags. i'll know when they arrive middle of next week.

ok, i just got them in the mail today. it appears as though they can be disassembled. i just haven't had success doing so, probably cause of how new they are. they do hold the full 10 rounds (as long as you get the right part number), and do not look bad at all. the mag body is 2pc but the only giveaway is the seam... there are no visible detents, clips, etc holding the 2 parts together. all steel, and very black.. not grey like the bushmaster.

i don't have pics, and don't have my digital camera for taking pics. here's what it would look like w/ a rifle

So are they the half-metal half-plastic block kind, or do they look like an all-metal 20 round that's been internally doctored... like the Promags?

            hmmm, I stand corrected

I could have swarn that it was a 9 round mags that they made. Did they recently change it?

Oh I know what I was thinking about! I was thinking about the Colt 9rd mag:

Be sure to let us know how your mags workout.

Ugh! Shudder, that's what I was thinking about.

I wonder if you can remove the Armalite 10 round mag floorplate?

just a little "edit"... i took a closer look at the mags, and they are 1 pc body. there is a seam running around the mag, but there is one spot in the rear where you can see the top and bottom of the mag is actually the same piece.
i was looking around the internet, and there it appears though armalite might also be selling the 9 round mags (eventhough it might not be on their website?). i saw it on a auction site, so i don't know how accurate the seller might be. i'm guessing as long as you order the #ex0072 mag, you should be ok. about $16 from armalite, and a little more if you order it elsewhere.

Actually, as long as they work, who cares whether they are one piece or not.

Those Armalite mags could be the same as the ones Bushmaster sells for their Bullpup kit. They have the same profile as a GI 20 rounder, but they only accept 10.

Does it by any chance look like this?
