    Be Advised: We Need Ammo!

I apologize for the caps lock, but this truly is an emergency. We have a function going on this weekend (Sept 8) and we are truly against the wall for ammo. Our administrator was supposed to request ammo a month ago and waited until the last minute. Now we don't know if we're getting it or not. I won't know for sure until tomorrow afternoon whether we are a GO or not.

But I am sending this message in all seriousness to anyone in the Fresno area (or within a 50mi radius) who wants to help your local Army reserve unit meet the BRM standard for this FY. If we don't get the GO by COB tomorrow, we will actively seek to buy 3000 rounds of 5.56mm 62gr FMJ ammo out of our own pocket. Our first instinct was to go and buy some wolf ammo online but ammo only gets shipped ground mail; not fast enough to get here by Saturday.

So I say once again, if anyone is willing to help us out, please let me know. We should know for sure by tomorrow if we'll need it.

Please do not consider this an official DA memorandum. This is a last resort by officers who want to make sure we meet the standard and are willing to pay out of pocket to do so.

Ammunition cannot be send via USPS aka US MAIL.

UPS AND FEDEX can ship by other methods than ground.

I called UPS and spoke to a woman at this # and your correct with UPS at least she said Ammunition ORM-D can only go ground.

I was told that ammunition could not be sent other than ground because of restrictions on "explosives". But if you're right I need to find a place that hasn't cleaned out all the ammo!

            Roger, thanks!

Could a mod bump my thread down to the appropriate forum? I was getting a little ahead of myself.

                  PM sent
The thing with firearms is that they are not like any other consumer product, simple ownership of one carries a lot of responsibility.

                      Check with Outdoor marksman
Their west coast warehouse is in Oregon and should be 1-2 days delivery time to central CA.
They also have appealing prices and very reasonable shipping charges.
