I'm thinking maybe ruger.com might have some info...

Cheapest one is just fine if that's the model you pick...why not pick the variation you want and then worry about price?

Add-on parts are available all over the internet. Try www.google.com.

for information, spend an hour on rimfirecentral.com and you'll be overloaded

I'd suggest buying the cheapest on and going from there. Part of the fun is building it up to your own specs. They shoot pretty well out of the box. The only pieces you HAVE to buy are the bolt release and mag release... they really should be standard.

volquartsen.com are the top stuffs people for parts, pretty much.

You can find their stuff at midwayusa.com, too

Yes - good thing too, because all the items I've bought didn't come with a damn bit of "how to" instructions.

I bought the blued target model and mounted a 6 to 24X Mueller scope on it. Overkill I know, but I felt like having a 1" target fill the scope @ 50 yds.

It's way easy. If you've ever assembled an AR-15 lower, it's much easier than that. You'll need to push out some pins and stick some stuff in, that's about it.

You'll want a good diagram from online, though, to see what they're referring to.

Oh, and, I bought a Volquartsen mag release the 1st time (machined metal), but I bought the cheapie plastic one the 2nd. To me, some stuff just doesn't need to be "precision." I must be a gear junkie... I'm actually feeling bad typing that I bought the cheap one!

There is a post on rimfirecentral about modding the stock bolt release into the quick release one. I did it in about 10 minutes with a file and it works fine. Saved me some bucks to spend on other 10/22 goodies.
