    How to sight in Fn-Fal.

Just wanted to verify if this is the right way to Zero my Fal.

    I got a FAL 16in carbine.
Iron sights starts from 200-600 meters.

    A) I should have my Target out @ 50Meters? This should give me a 250M crossover?

    B) Once it is properly zeroed. Where should my POI be @ 100 yds/meters since my Iron sights starts off @ 200M?

Look up the ballistics on the ammo your using and that should get you close.

Go to Hornady's ballistic calculator on their website.

In general for all .308 battle rifles, sight in at 25 yards with standard M80 military ball.
You want to be hitting 1" low of your aiming point at 25 yards to have dead-on POI at 200 yards.

I would get on paper from 25 yds first. It will save a lot of ammo.

Use a laser boresight and align your iron sights to laser dot if you have access to one or shot from 25 yds and get it on paper first.

I went through alot of rounds just getting iron sights set first. JMHO

Here is a sight adjustment,poi/poa,range dope sheet I have ...have attached it in the pic below...this should help... FUGGIN HELL, wont let me attach it..send me a pm with your email an I will send it to you...dont have time to add to photobucket blah blah blah

NOTE-SOMETIMES on the short barreled Fals like yours,mine,etc.... you MAY run out of elevation on the front sight and then you must find a different height front sight(they came in '4 dots' to indicate front sight post height) If you find you have run it all the way down and still not have enough elevation...you can start to SLOWLY file the top of the post down to get where you need to be.

NOW before you start to file, if you need to, find out if someone on the Falfiles will trade you a correct height site post first....they are NOT cheap, they run like ..$20-30 or more for some front sight post assemblies......
            Hope this helped..
