hey guys,
a couple of months back my buddys RRA 2 stage trigger wouldn't reset after each shot. so since then he got a replacement trigger , and also bought a RRA single stage that he installed in its place. last week we went to the range and he was having FTE and i assumed that since he took apart his piston system to clean that it wasnt set right. since we didnt have any allens at the range we couldnt fix it. today before heading to ontarget he spaced the block correctly. first shot it goes bang. second round in the chamber but when he goes to fire the second round nothing. it turns out the gun will cycle a new round but for some reason it doesnt set the hammer back.
i take apart the upper and lower and i test out the trigger and hammer and everything seems fine. i put the upper back on and charge it and it sets the hammer back and im able to pull the trigger. i head back to the range and same thing happens, it cycles a new round but didnt set the hammer. i pull back the charging handle and see the new round chambered, i pulled it back just enough to manually set the hammer back and it fires. but then again next round chambered and hammer not in firing position. if anyone has any ideas that would be great.
