has anyone imported a firearm from canada inside the past year or so and can recommend an FFL who will do this at a reasonable cost?

Just curious, what firearm are you trying to get from Canada that you couldn't get in the U.S.?

it's a Australian International Arms No.4 Mk4. effectively an improved Lee Enfield in .308/ 7.62 NATO caliber. Heavy free floated barrel, teak stock, and scope mount. Sort of the last Lee Enfield. They make em in 7.62 x 39 also but of course in their wisdom our government has decreed that these shouldn't be brought in here as some part allegedly come from Vietnam so actual importers to usa DON'T EXIST. grrrrr. as a private sale it's possible though

BATF says that any FFL can import occasionally (not as a regular part of their business) but most FFLs don't want to go through all the paperwork involved. I've been looking for an FFL do import a rifle for me with no luck.

I used a place in montana once before for a DCRA No. 4 LE. Can't remember their name though. I have found one guy who will do it all for 500 bucks so I might have to use him, as steep as it is.
