Yeah- 3500-4000 for parts, as stated above. Twice.

        What?

But retail on something like this is in the 3500 to 4000.00 range depending on options.
Retail sale would include labor and retail cost of parts.....

So...what..would you like for me to explain what retail sale of the rifle means? i.e. complete build for a customer off the street.

Since I did them for cost of parts only, I managed to squeeze in a few paying jobs during the process. I finished the final assembly late Saturday night, then brought them out to the range for delivery on Sunday morning.

This morning I was so tired I got dressed and had breakfast, then decided to go back to bed. I slept another 3 hours before getting up and coming in to work :-)

That was supposed to be a total of 10 rifles, but one guy backed out early. I have all of the parts for his build and I can do it for a little under 4K if anyone is interested. I may build it as a spec rifle and put it up for sale very soon.

Since the 10th rig isn't apart of the club build, nor would it be fore a club member....retail sale would come into play here.

Nah, just built by a quality smith with quality parts. Customer service also comes into play here as well. That part would be hard for me to explain to ya.

It is truly amazing the amount of care and attention Spartan Rifles puts into their finished product, while I'm not fortunate enough to have one of the group build I do have one of their early builds and it is simple yet thorough in attention to detail and design. Not to mention the fact that it is an absolute hammer on the line, in fact, it can even equalize a "tactical" match. Plus it came with insightful advice on how to work up the optimum load for it's given caliber. Spartan Rifles are good to go!

Thanks for all of the kind words guys. I didn't keep track of hours and that was on purpose. The goal was just to break even on the cost of parts and consumables as well as the shipping fees for all of the parts and everything else. I might have come in just a little under but not by much. It was worth it.

For those that want specifics on price I'll tell you I only charged 2,675 bucks for the base model with a fixed, standard length of pull stock and a Timney trigger. The options were adjustable stocks in either A3 or A5, flushcup/stud locations, and Jewell triggers.

As stated earlier, the upgraded models with fully adjustable stocks and Jewell's would retail for a little under 4K. About 3,800 actually.

                      Good looking sticks.

Can you tell us something about the bottom rifle on the website. Looks like a 16 or 18inch barrel with a SF brake.

                      Thx

Yes lehn it's a Remmy based build with a Manners stock and Badger mini chassis, 18.5" Hart barrel, Near base and Surefire brake. It's for a recently retired L.E. guy in Nevada. He's wishing he could have had that in his patrol car all of the years he was on the force.

Spartan Rifles is good to go!

I now have two of their rifles with a third on order. I also have a couple of switch barrels they chambered up for me. These guys are fanatics on the details and it shows in the performance -- fricken hammers!

...but, I shouldn't say too much, I don't want them to get too busy to work on my projects. ;-)
