Hello,
I'm doing my first SPS tactical build here. Just wanted some info/feedback on my set up here. My SPS Tactical is a .308 I'll make a list of parts here below:
EGW 15-20 MOA base.
Millet TRS-1 4-16x50 Scope with mil/mil.
Burris elite tactical rings XTR30mm.
Bell and Carson Medalist/tactical or classic.
Harris bipod.
'
I also have some questions regarding the mounting base. I found this from Sniper central.
"Here a little rule of thumb that I use for selecting the correct MOA for scope bases.
If your scope adjustments are:
> than 40 MOA < 60 MOA = 20 MOA base + Burris Signature Zee Rings; or 10 or 15 MOA base + any rings; or Zero MOA Base + Burris Signature Zee Rings.
> than 60 MOA < 85 MOA = 10, 15, or 20 MOA Base + any rings.
< than 85 MOA = zero MOA Base + any rings.
The above are for 308 win or 223 rifles. "
My scope has a MOA adjustment range of 65 so either 15-20 would be good. I'm not sure what the difference preference would be? Maybe someone can explain that to me.
