It also has an Adams Arms gas piston system. So far it looks nice but I can't tell you how it runs (I'm not there yet) but the gas block is kind of heavy.
Is it one of their newfangled low profile jobs? Those pretty slick. And light.

At the 2011 SHOT Show, Adams Arms had a whole bunch of new prototypes on display. I had the opportunity to spend some time talking with their sales manager, John Humphrey, going over all their new products. One item in particular stood out as something that really interested me. It was a lightweight rifle featuring the Adams Arms piston system along with a pencil barrel with Adams Arms own compensator, and Samson’s new Evolution series rail system. I posted a first look at this upper back

I got one and I love it. DO IIIIITT! Get the ADAMS! You won't be sorry!

The liberal see's the glass as half full and tries to take more.
The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.
I'm with the people on the side just pouring water in the glass trying to get a drink!

What issues were you having or what do you think why it didn't work...

Did you put the Receiver Bushing in the JD upper?

I am building a AR pistol... and yes its an 80% lower. and I'm thinking of going gas piston, instead of DI.

i dont think there are currently any piston kits available for an AR-10/LR .308 platform. If you can find one, let me know

The AA BCG was bigger than the JD upper receiver. Or the JD upper receiver was smaller than it should be...

I installed the AA bushing in the JD receiver LMK by pm if you want it for a cheap trade?
