Just bought a new remington 700 tactical .308 and was wondering what length bipod everyone likes? I will be doing both prone and bench shooting. People have mentioned in the past they have two but I'd really like to just buy one right now. I'm leaning towards the harris 6"-9" swivel notched pod.

I have a Harris and its pretty good.The liberal see's the glass as half full and tries to take more.
The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.
I'm with the people on the side just pouring water in the glass trying to get a drink!Comment

I use a Harris 6-9" as well. I only use it for bench shooting and at times I've noticed when fully extended it was too tall so I run it pretty short. Consider getting the notched leg version, makes it much quicker to adjust the height evenly.Don't let the name fool you...Comment
