Sacramento Black Riffle has them for 89.99 with tear drop trigger guard. I'm thinking about buying one. Thought I would check to see if anyone has experience with TM lowers?

Probably a smaller company but pretty much all stripped lowers are just another stripped lower..
He'll half of these companies buy the same exact lower from the same place and just slap their logo on them.
Only thing different about most lowers is the logo.. And if you like it. Other than that it's prett much just a lower. That's the only reason I didn't buy a stag and want a jd so bad.. That and resale is ridiculously higher because of more people seeing the big name on it and think it makes a lower better.Comment

I've had my Tactical Machining .308 lower from a group buy for a couple of weeks now, quality as far as styling and finish is superb though I'm not qualified to grade much else. By comparison it makes the DPMS upper receiver it's mated to look like a piece of... well at least it's functional and shoots good. The finish texture wasn't quite the same with the DPMS slightly more matte and porous looking, though that will go away anyway. The assembly was really easy since TM also provided a couple of set screws that did away with all the roll pins, not sure if that translates over to the -15 lowers.Comment

I have heard of Tactical Machining, and I have heard of Tactical Innovations. Tactical Innovations makes top notch lowers, TM is smaller and not really as well known. I checked out a TM lower when I was in AZ, and it had a so-so finish, and almost no roll marks.Last edited by missiontrails; 04-28-2011, 12:35 PM.Comment

Thanks for any input.
Oh and to the OP: Tactical Machining is definitely Good to Go. Attention to detail on their lowers is amazing. Definitely a top notch manufacturer. Buy with confidence, especially at SBR....they'll take care of you over there.Last edited by goodlookin1; 04-28-2011, 7:34 AM.Comment

. If it means anything the color (matte black) looks really close, just the texture is different.
Here's the exact link -- the guy's website is screwed up for searching for other parts, but the upper was on my doorstep maybe three days later.Comment

No clue myself, sorry. If it means anything the color (matte black) looks really close, just the texture is different.

Here's to hoping the 7075 will turn out fine (and if not, i'll just swap out upper receivers when TM comes out with their matches set upper!).Comment

TM is a very easy company to deal with. I have 3 of their TM-15 lowers and one of thier 308's. One of their employees or owners, Nathan Krynn, is a member here. My experience with them has been they are a smaller company that is very interested in doing the right thing for their customers, I would say buy without any reservations.Comment

Thanks guys. Sounds like I'm GTG. I agree Nate is a good guy. Bought my Beretta and Spikes lower from him.Comment

Functionally, a lower is a lower. They will all do the samething, but if you look closer the differences lie in the details... some are better than others in that regard. Just go compare a Mega to a Spikes or a JD.
Some are over priced, like the Noveske lower. While they have a MUCH stricter QC for their lowers you are mostly paying for the name, but why not. It's your money.Comment

I LOVE my TM .308 Lower. If I get paid before these sell out I'm going to try and get to with sequenced numbers to throw in the safe for my kids (2 years old is a little young for built guns).
Last time I bought them lowers I ended up building them for myself so who knows.... LOLComment

My tactical machined lower is the tightest fitting and most asthetically pleasing of the lowers that I have owned and used. Their customer service is top notch too.Comment
