    Kel tec sub 2000

Does anyone own one of these or fired one? Can you give me some feed back on them? I am having trouble finding info on them but they seem really cool. I was interested in the glock 9mm version the most.

I think it is a carbine so this is the right thread right

    Your in the right forum.

I had a Glock 22 model for a bit and have the following thoughts on the Sub2000's.

They are pretty cool if your looking for a relatively cheap lightweight pistol caliber rifle that you can share pistol mags with and fold in half for easy storage and transport.

However, they do feel slightly cheap as do all Keltec firearms in my opinion and I also found the charging setup and cheek weld on this model a bit awkward. Also, while people have come up with ways to mount them, this firearm is not ideal for optics do to the way it folds. If your not worried about maintaining the folding capability than this is less of an issue.

Because of the pistol grip and short overall factory length, the Sub2000 requires a bullet button or grip fin to make the pistol grip a non issue and a buttstock extension to meet the CA minimum length requirement. Expect to pay a premium due to the fact that dealers willing to add the extra parts to sale to CA usually have a markup and the ongoing shortage of the Glock 9mm models in general are also boosting the price.

Last but not least, if you find a Glock 17 model please let me know...

So i would need a bullet button OR a grip fin, AND the extension? That is very good information thank you.

As for the glock 17, since all the 9mm glocks have interchangeable mags you just mean the glock 9mm version? They are on gun broker but now ill have to look for someone willing to do the conversions.

Kel-Tec makes two versions of the SUB-2000 that used 9x19mm Glock magazines.
Glock 17 grip uses full sized Glock magazines.
Glock 19 grip uses compact sized and full sized Glock magazines.
None of the grips can use the subcompact sized magazines.

I've had one (Glock 17) for some time, and it's awesome. I just got into AR-15s, and while the S2K tends to feel kind of toy-like in comparison to an AR it's still my favorite. If you get one, get the Red Lion Precision forearm. It lets you keep an optic on top and still fold it. It's good for 1/2 head sized groups at 50 yards with a cheap red dot. People that can actually shoot get better groups than that with the stock sights.

              Get one! You'll love it.

I think the Sub200 is a great gun. I have had my Glock17 version for 8 months and have taken it out to the range about 7 times and each time, I have a lot of fun shooting it. For some reason it tends to fire a bit "dirty", in my experience, but I would never give up this gun. I especially love blowing people's minds away when I show them how accurate it is and doing the "abracadabra" of instantly folding it in half and how quickly it can be deployed with a flick of the wrist. I bought mine through DD's Ranch also. I paid $369 for the California-compliant version plus about $26 for shipping to my FFL. I paid $25 DROS and a $65 middleman fee to my FLL, which was about $100 less out-the-door than if I had bought it from Triple A's in Vallejo. Last time I checked, Triple A's was asking $499 plus $25 DROS plus sales tax for roughly $575 out-the-door. I would check Triple A's to see if they had any in stock, but it would not surprise me if they bumped the price up even more, as these guns sell FAST.

                    Good Luck
