If I can expect chunks of paint to flake off from removing the floorplate then the same thing should have happened to the other one I bought right? Ive taken that one apart more than a dozen times now and there is absolutely no sign of that.
With them taking it apart and putting it back together they should have noticed the finish was defective or that they damaged it.
Am I really wrong for expecting to get what I ordered and paid for? I don't see anywhere on the description that says they are used or may have a damaged finish if shipped as rebuilds. Simply offering me free shipping on another mag would have been a great way to handle it, whatever happened to taking care of your customers?
I'm really surprised to see I'm one of the few that thinks this wayLast edited by Arkangel86; 05-02-2011, 6:12 PM.Comment

It's a USGI magazine dude, not a Rolex. They're supposed to be cheaply made and disposable. I thought pretty much everybody knew that if you want premium quality, you buy a Pmag.
How about you post a picture and show us how bad it really is?Comment

The Flash made it hard to see from a straight on view. Like I said, I know its minor and will absolutely not affect the function at all, its the principal.
The sole purpose of this thread was to let my fellow Calgunners know about my experience with the vendor, simple as that.

Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.

That's it?
Tell ya what. I was about to place an order with 44mag myself for some rebuild kits.
In light of this thread, I think I'm going to place an even larger order than I was planning.Comment

You bought those as rebuild kits with the understanding that they will be disassembled for legal importation. From the scratches, that's what happened, they were taken apart. Are you able to pry the base plate out with zero damage? There are 3 kinds of people in this world.
The wise, learn from the mistakes of others.
The smart, learn from their own mistakes.
The others, well......they just never learn.
