Is all you need to convert a .223/5.56 AR to 9mm one of those conversion blocks and a 9mm complete upper?

Ok, thanks! So a dedicated lower would be better to stop from having to remove the buffer and hammer each time.

Pretty much. I would recommend using a CMMG ramped bolt...there are companies that use the CMMG bolt in their uppers. YHM is one of them. Also a new buffer.

This will allow you to use the stock LPK hammer.
