Started out as a Budget rifle...

Well I finally got around to taking some pictures of the budget build. This is my first AR I've build and overall I'm very pleased with it as my first. What started off as a budget build, as I'm sure most of you know, it got expensive real fast.

    Upper: Del-ton 1x9 twist CL 5.56+CMMG .22LR upper
    Lower:CMMG
Extra's: Ghetto UTG Handguard, Tapco Vertical Grip, UTG Flashlight/Laser combo
Optics: Aimpoint PRO on 5.56 upper and NcStar ACOG clone on .22 upper
    10/30 Pmag
    Prince 50 BB

Way I look at it, once I get some more money, I can buy good extra's for it and transfer all my cheap stuff to the .22lr upper.

I think you will find after using the .223 a few times and really spend the day with it... the UTG rails are going to the .22lr and the normal handguards are going on the .223 upper and you are DONE.

Many people figure out they dont really care about the rails. You may buy a rail addon kit, or you may love the quad rails...its all personal.

            Good job BTW. Looks good.

The UTG rail isn't horrible, however it is pretty heavy and bulky. Also the rails don't line up with the flat top. Once I get some extra money for a DD rail or Yankee Hill rail, like you said I'll throw the UTG on the .22lr. Works for now since I'm a broke college student who is still very young and can haul around the extra little weight!

As for another lower, convincing my mom is the hard part since I'm not 21
Although I did it once, who says I can't do it again!

Yeah I'm not going to pretend its something its not, in some cases you get what you pay for. and this is definitely one of those cases!

Put all the UTG/airsoft stuff on the .22 upper and keep the PRO on the .223. You still need a BUIS too. Overall, looks like fun enjoy! You will never forget your 1st
