    SAIGA 308 QUESTION..

Hello everyone, I have a question that needs to be resolved and I am hoping that more informed members can enlighten me. I recently just purchased a Saiga 308 from an online gun dealer. Today I was called by the owner that is going to ship my 308 to me. He informed me that he has to call the DOJ to see if the rifle needs a bullet button or maglock. I explained to him that it shouldn't because its a montecarlo stock and doesn't have any of the other characteristics of an "assault rifle". He said he didn't know and has to find out. This is frustrating me very much, as it was very hard to find a Saiga 308 these days, and when I finally find one, it's being held up. So here's my question...
Does the Saiga 308 need a bullet button or maglock when it comes stock, with no modification of any kind?

I really dont want a bullet button or maglock on any rifle I own, I refuse to install one. (BTW I don't own anything illegal, just a preference)

Any real help on this issue with law knowledge would be appreciated.

    Thx

No, stock saiga rifles do not require a mag lock of any sort since they are featureless rifles. You could E-mail the flow chart on this site and use the penal code's it sights to support your argument. You could even link the Penal code from the CA AG site so vendor knows your not just making **** up.
