M-16 retro build questions.

I have been looking at colt parts sets and the NDS receivers. Has anyone been able to find them in socal? I don't really want to pay an arm and a leg to have one shipped in. Look like this could be a fun project with a top charger etc.

Order a parts kit online. Sarco, Apex and others. Shipping will be less than tax. Need to get the receiver locally.

I assembled an A1 clone a while back. NodakSpud is definetly the way to go for the receiver. They are the shizzle my nizzle. Just order it, and have it sent to your FFL. Yeah it's gonna cost you a few bucks but it will look correct. An A2 lower just isn't right.

You think it's possible to mill down the side of an a2 lower to make it work?

Yeah it's been done before. I think there's an article on arfcom about it.
