    Hi-Caps in another rifle.

OK, so I own a couple of high cap magazines - legally. I had them well before 2000.

Are they legal if I put them in another rifle? Are they supposed to belong* to a rifle?

Yes. Many people bought magazines for guns they didn't own prior to the ban just in case the decided to get those guns one day. Don't put them in a featured AR rifle though.

the mags are all good but if you put them in a rifle with a BB then that is a no no so to answer your question yes you are all good as long as the gun you are putting the hi caps into is a featureless gun
That punk pulled a Glock 7 on me. You know what that is? It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. Dosen't show up on your airport X-ray machines, here, and it cost more than you make in a month.

You've got the right idea, just don't modify the mags so they don't work in the original firearm.

Mags have to still function in the rifle model they were designed for, and don't put them in a fixed magazine centerfire semi-auto rifle as that creates an AW (fixed mag centerfire semi-auto rifles are limited to 10 round capacity). Otherwise, shoot em if ya got em.

It's because this is California, and gun-hostile legal interpretations are simply expected. We know this from personal experience, of course, but also from the ridiculous restrictions placed on legal products by certain well-known out-of-state catalog generators - from the outside, everything seems to be suspect.
