Getting hit with a copper jacket

I once hit another guy with a round out of my buddies .50 desert eagle at an outdoor range. I hit the steel plate at 35 yards, it slid down the plate into the ground, then bounced off the ground and onto the guy's chest shooting 20ft away from me. The guy was pretty rude about it, he came over and yelled at me like I meant to do it.

Being a smartass I woulda said I was aiming for the next next to him. <g>

I've Been hit in the neck the foot and actually had a 45 shell fall behind my Safety glasses and get stuck nice little burn mark under my eye from that

This thread, and video clip makes me feel a bit better about getting hit in the head with some .45 ACP bounce back off some steel 25 years ago. I was feeling kind of stupid that day for having it happen. At the time without the internet, it seemed like a much more amusing story to shooting buddies.
