Mounting a scope on my AR... Is a Scope-Ring Lapping Kit required/necessary?

I'm planning to install a one piece, 1" scope ring(s) mount, for my Barska scope. It's goin on a Bull Barrel upper, and it's goin to be for "accurate" plinking.

My question is, do I absolutely need to use a scope lapping kit, with those bars and alignment checking gauges in order to mount this thing properly? To be able to get it zeroed at 50 or 100 yards and not have zeroing issues once everything is solidly tightened in?

Get this or something similar to it.
...with liberty and justice for all. Void where prohibited, offer not valid everywhere, price may change. See Big Brother for details.

If the made in china sticker is where one of the rings will mount, remove the sticker...other than that you should be good.

Ok...I am back in my chair and done laughing. To answer your question...no...you will probably not to lap your rings.

        Take care,Stan
I know I know, Barska aint top notch anything, but like I said it's gonna be for a plinker-upper. It's not gonna be ran in any defensive courses or to be used in anything serious like defense. I just want it to be able to be zeroed POI/POA at 50 yards and not have to run out of click adjustments because of off aligned scope rings in relation to my receiver or barrel.

              Don't listen to these amateurs.

You need to lap your scope rings in order to maximize accuracy when using Brown Bear and Golden Tiger ammunition.
