Thanks. So what's the consensus on the quality?

(And, is it me, or does the rifle in that second pic look HEAVY? Makes me long for my Retro....)

It's been up there for a while. It's a sort of clone. It doesn't look the same.

Why anyone would put airsoft gear on a real gun is beyond me...

Maybe some people cannot afford $1,000 for the rifle and then another $5-800 for the optics. Could spend $65 and shoot now and in a few months buy the real thing.

BTW post up the link... I may need to field test this

Glass quality and relief are likely to be terrible. It's not a scope -- point of aim is determined by the red dot. I dunno how much of trade dress needs ot be changed to make it legal, but they did some stuff to make it not the same and they're not putting EOTech on it. A CLONE isn't the same thing as making a product that does the same thing. These magnifiers are about as low-tech as you can get. No reticle, no adjustments, nothing. Long eye relief 3x is all the real ones are.

Charging 400-500 for a magnifier is a little ridiculous in my mind. I have bought some awesome camera lenses for that much and they are far more technical. From the reviews it gets I would say people are happy with it.

how badly could a magnifier be bubba-d?
                              temperature limits? waterproof depth? sealing?
For fun it would probably work well.
I'd rather see eotech lower their price to $250-$185 and everyone buying from them.
2024 New Year?s resolution will be no posting..
