Left handed ar pistol build possible?

i want to make a left handed ar pistol that shoots a .223. My question is, is it possible? I would buy a stripped ar lower marked as pistol. Then buy a left handed lower parts kit from stag arms, a left handed A3 Flattop Upper Assy, a left handed bolt carrier, and any barrel that i can find. This is my first ar build. Am i missing anything? Constructive criticism is welcome.


Also, would i be able to use a cmmg left handed .22lr conversion if i wanted to?

keep in mind, its not enough to buy a lower marked as a pistol, if you are buying it has to be registered already and a PPT, unless of course you are buying a complete roster exempt pistol. Or of course, build from a 80% lower

oh ok so i would have to get one with a lower parts kit and stock and just swap out the lower parts kit?

I think you have it right, you would have t get it from private party transfer, as a single shot, or build one from an 80% lower, then rebuild the upper later. Not not change the lower parts kit..... just the bare upper, and BCG, I think the barrels are the same left to right hander.

EDIT, maybe ambi Charging handle and selector to make it south paw compatible.

Totally possible. Working on one now. Well, the 80% lower anyway. When I get to the upper I will probably have WOA put it together. Not just any barrel will work for left handed, you will need an ambidextrous barrel extension. I had WOA build me a 6.8 not long ago and they made the barrel along with an ambidextrous extension from Stag.

i didnt know that stag arms makes a ar pistol upper. i might just buy it.
