Vltor Modstock basic

I was thinking about getting one of the Basic VLTOR Modstocks that Bravocompanyusa is selling for $49. It is the older one so it doesnt have any type of recoil pad. Does anybody have any experience with this stock and if itll make a big difference coming from an Magpul MOE stock? Also does anybody know if the VLTOR slip on recoil pads are any good? thanks in advance.

Great stock, used to be standard on Noveske Recce and Carbine rifles. Just buy the slip over rubber butt pad for that stock, there are plenty of them around..

Great stock, but traded it for a Magpul ACS. I traded only because the vltor is a short stock and I shoot with my nose almost touching the CH and the stock is almost fully extended. This caused my cheek to rest mostly on the buffer tube and barely touched the stock. The ACS is longer so it was more comfortable for my shooting style.

Where can one find these slip on pads? The ones I've seen are thick.
