I hit a target 4ft tall 24inches wide at 400 yards. Used a 25 yard zero. POA was place the dot on the top part of the target. AR15 14.5"+MD with a C-More 4MOA dot ATAC, 62gr .223, 1:9 twist. My POI was high center 10" spread. Missed 3 or 4 times out of 10, likely high off right. Prone, sling only, no sand bags or rest.

Before that I shot 500 yards, but not worth mentioning. I normally shoot 200 or less with a 50 yard zero.

In boot camp i got squirell sized (9 inch) groupings with an m-16 iron sights at 500 yards. Qualified expert, 3rd highest score out of 200+ recruits. later on at MP school we had a competition and i was able to hit paper at 700 yards a couple times, the targets are like 4x4 feet. Its funny, at that distance the front sight post completely obscures the target, and we had to take 2 wind readings: one for regular wind, and another for wind that was above the 12 foot high berm the projectiles would fly above on their way down range. I won a meal from burger king that day. Pretty sweet.

              I shoot a Colt (I think) M4 with a TA31 AGOG [14.5 inch barrel] at 500 yds at least once a year.

With an ACOG benched at ASR I was shooting at the 600 yrd steel.

I don't go past 400 yrds with iron sights.

I shot a running rabbit at 300 + yards Heavy barrel off a rest sitting at a table set up for squirrel. Fun shot indeed, I love a one shot kill.

600 yards, steel pig at Angeles Shooting Range. JSE surplus 16" upper with a $40 scope from big-5. I wish it was every shot however we know that's not realistic.

Edit: I also hit a mountain side at 700 yards every time. Helps that I was standing on the mountain.
