    AK parts kits

I'm looking to get my hands on an AK parts kit and go to a few build parties. I've seen a few here but not exactly what I'm looking for. Anyone know where I can find a Krinkov kit or an underfolder kit? I want something that comes with a chrome lined barrel, is in un-issued condition and i prefer a 47 over the 74.

    thank you

That being said, check out Gunbroker, the FS forum here, Ak-files, etc. I don't think any company stocks what you want at this point, so your best hope is to find someone who bought them when they were still available. Or you can lower your requirements.

So your saying I probably won't find what I want huh? Maybe I should just get another arsenal.

You might find it, but it'll likely take you a while. However, since you'd be building it anyway, you won't see much of a difference between an unissued kit and any G/VG condition matching numbers kit. As long as the bore isn't worn out (and you can get a new US-made chrome-lined barrel. I've had a very good experience with Arms of America barrels, I get about 3" at 100 yds), the exterior will be parkerized (or however you want to treat it) anyway. You can find the furniture separately, or refinish the one it comes with, for that "unissued" look. Which look will only last until the first time you drop it in the sand, anyway.

AFAIK the only 7.62 Krinksss with UF stocks are M92 Yugo kits, they don't have chrome lined barrels and are expensive. Might be easier to get a romy g and do the work to make it what you want.

RGUNS have Krink kits (Russian) last I checked for 775 no barrel

A few places have under folders. Apex guns, what a country, Colorado gun sales. Some have barrels all are used.

AK-Builder has under folder kits with chrome lined barrels used.

Haven't seen an un-issued kit with barrel.

Some people (Turbothis, restoreit1) can also modify your regular kit into a pistol kit. This is pretty much what Curtis at AK-builder does.

Those aren't the only builders who can do that work, AFAIK Matt(turbothis) is an 07 and can work on receivers. Pat (restorit1) will not work on receivers.

I already edited my post. I meant the Krink/pistol kit. It's easy enough to do an underfolder, one doesn't need a pro builder to do that

I seen in other threads about what turbothis has done and is capable of. I was thinking of shooting him an pm. I have something I want to try but I'm pretty sure it'll require a pro builder.

Depending on exactly what you want to do, you can probably do it at a build party. Cutting down and recrowning barrels would be something which most BPS aren't set up for. But, almost everything else is doable.
