    I know... I'm a Mall Ninja...

So I'm going to go featureless on a rifle, but I'm not sure I want a muzzle brake. (Extra noise, hassle from LEO thinking it's still a flash hider)

On the other hand, I think barrels without a muzzle device of some type (on ARs at least) look, for lack of a better term... dorky.

I know, I know... 'It's a tool, who gives a flying **** what it looks like!!!"

Still, I'm just curious. Does anyone think I could get a machine shop to crank something like this out for me if I gave them detailed schematics?

    Ok. Laugh and flame away!

If you want a 12 foot long AR, its not hard to make. I'd buy a thread protector and call it a day if you don't want a muzzle device.

If you're trying to avoid the LEO factor, then I don't understand why you want this device on your barrel.

If you can make detailed schematics, then just go to emachineshop.com, design the device in their cad software, and they will make it. You don't even have to talk to a person.

Why, it's not going to hide flash, and it's not going to compensate. So, instead of a flash hider, you will have a nicely machined barrel lug.

LOL!!! Got it. I think I'll just go with a thread protector.

I was thinking it was kind of like having a pinned collapsible stock... looks like one, but doesn't do anything.

Maybe I was just bored and wanted to draw things.

Idea has been sent to it's grave.

Fake Silencer cost $40 Spikes do the same thing, you can mount them backwards on the barrel.

Randall can do that. I've seen some of his work online where he'll make a old XM clone, it's a 16" barrel turned down and a long flash suppressor fitted over it like a sleeve so it looks like a 12" barrel.

Best bet, only 40 bucks ...slides over barrel...no visible threads.
Can even buy it without the engraving , so it's just plain black.
