    C93 owners opinions?

I've read some reviews and it seems the gun is hit or miss, and I see where gose wouldn't take one for free after his experiences with one, but I was wondering if there are any new reviews by owners here?

Has the guns reliability improved with newer rifles?

I also see where you need to check the bolt gap and replace rollers to correct gap, and if the gap cant be obtained that way it needs a new barrel? any one had to do this? is it hard to replace rollers and where do you check the gap at, any pics?

I have a SAR8 and I love it and the HK platform, I've always wanted a HK93 style rifle but have never been able to afford one, but now I see the C93's going from $500 and up.

I know the history with Century Arms, and their build quality, I never thought I even consider any thing from them, but the C93 does interest me.

I have a new Ruger LCP that I'm considering trading off towards a C93 or maybe some thing else, is the C93 worth a try?

Had one, sold it. It was 100% functional. I guess I got lucky. If I were you, get a used one that's already been shot and checked out.

Be careful or the front sights being canted. As for aftermarket parts, very little if them, and generally expensive. The HK collapsible stock in 449. Only cheap mags available are the 40 rounders.

Yes used is what I would be looking for if I decided to try it out, I all ready have numerous high cap HK mags (I collected lots of mags prior to the ban) so I was thinking I wold go featureless so I could use my current mags, all I would plan on doing is add a IGF Brake, and a slip on grip, I like the standard furniture.

I have read where guns bought through Henderson Defense have been test fired and had the bolt gap checked, that would be a plus.

That doesnt sound good, I guess you get what you pay for.

It may still work for me, if I can get one with a 500 to a thousand rounds of life left in it? most of my RAW's are 15-20 years old, and I'm sure I have put less than 200 rounds through each one since new, infact my SAR 8 probably has less than 100 rounds through it.

What other HK93 Style options are out there? Vector Arms? I've seen them on the web, but for now, out of my price range.

And what exactly are the rollers compensating for? I've read if you cant get the gap it's the barrel that needs replaced?

The first one I got from a Henderson Defense group by had canted sights. Contacted them about it, sent me out a new one with a couple free rebuild kits to offset the price of re-drosing it. New one works like a charm, good gap on it, sights are straight, eats everything I feed at it. I actually like shooting it more then my ARs for some reason. I guess just because its something different.

Bought one two months ago from GunRunners. Functions well but does not cycle .223 (any brand) barely throws brass a few inches from port and I'll get FTE constantly. Shooting 5.56 is a different story functions perfectly and throws it as far as my SR9 (due to the higher pressures) although the owners manual says its ok for both. Normal stripped marks and dings on brass. Headspace is too tight at .004 so I may experiment with some rollers purchased at Robert RTG. Recoil is light and on par with my SIG 556 - not as sharp as an M4 or Galil. One plus to keep in mind is that all the parts are surplus HK since they never contracted out the 93 unlike the 91 series - surprised that the trigger group was just as nice as the one out of my SR9 sans the cut for the shelf.
